KUNI's Folk Music

Karen's folk program can be heard from 9 - 11 p.m. on Saturdays as part of the new Iowa Public Radio Classical Network on KHKE 89.5 FM, KUNZ 91.1 FM, KSUI 91.7 FM and on WOI 90.1 FM.

Additional encore broadcasts are heard on KUNI 90.9 FM on Thursdays at midnight and Saturdays at 4 a.m.

Enjoy two hours of traditional and contemporary acoustic music, folk tunes and dance music from around the world each Saturday. During the program, host Karen Impola presents exclusive KUNI recordings and artist features. Be listening to each of Karen's programs for the "CD of the Month," a recording which we consider so special that it will be spotlighted throughout the month. It may be a hot new release, or a recent re-release, or an older CD that is not commonly found, but worthy of revisiting. See also, Live from Studio One on Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
