KUNI Murder Mystery Books
Recognizing the abundance of creative writing talent in Iowa,
KUNI is celebrating the state's authors by engaging 17-19 Iowa writers to create
each these novels. One author has written one chapter of the "progressive" murder mysteries
based on the previous chapters, and added twists and turns to the unfolding
story. Staff members at KUNI coordinated each project utilizing email. The
complement of writers includes playwrights, newspaper editors, novelists,
magazine essayists, professors and a public radio news director. All books are
soft cover and are also available at select retail outlets. For locations call

"Time and Chance: An Iowa Murder
Mystery"
SOLD OUT
(1998 - $10.95 plus $2 P&H)
Did the divorced husband of the bed and
breakfast owner do it? Does the very shady past of Pastor Paula provide a clue? Is the
financial developer of the new riverboat casino involved? And of major importance, which
author killed which character?
The owner of the Three Sisters Bed & Breakfast, Charlie Andropolous, appears to be
the heroine, but one can only imagine how she and the myriad of characters evolve through
the consecutive writings of 17 authors. With so many creative writers, dramatic and
hilarious twists and turns abound as the murder mystery progresses towards its most
unusual conclusion. |

"16,000 Suspects:
A RAGBRAI Mystery"
(1999 - $10.95 plus $2 P&H)
"It is the year 2010 now, a full decade after it
happened. Enough healing time has passed that we can finally report and reflect
on what the media called the "Cycle-pathic Murder" on RAGBRAI™
XXVIII in the year 2000." So the story begins.
RAGBRAI™ is the Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bike
Ride Across Iowa, which follows different routes each July
from the Missouri River to the Mississippi. It should be noted the event has always been a treasured, non-violent, fun-loving Iowa family event.
This is a work of fiction and does not
reflect the history or social climate of the ride.
The use of the name RAGBRAI™ is
with the written permission of the Des Moines Register and Tribune Company.
